Not sure if Level 2 is right for your child? Keep in mind that the quality of the paragraphs that June Writers helps kids write is much higher than what most children learn in school. We’re not looking for just a mechanically sound paragraph; we’re looking for a full-reasoned, connected argument that engages ideas at a deep level. This is why we recommend that many kids who are already used to writing multi-paragraph texts start at Level 2. Though they’ll be familiar with the concepts and skills of paragraph writing, they’ll also be re-learning those skills to lead with the quality and logic of their thought—the argument. Taking the time to develop this critical, and often overlooked, foundational skill do this now will set your child up for longer-form writing, where argument and connections are paramount.
