New Feature: Instant word definitions
In addition to the three new features we announced last week, we are also happy to announce that we’ve added vocabulary tips for unfamiliar words in relevant practices across all levels.
Vocabulary Help
When the quotation mark on the bottom left of a slide is highlighted in purple, your child can click on the mark to pull up definitions of challenging words on that slide. Though Level 3: Texts Under Scrutiny teaches kids to seek out and define crucial words in a text to understand and dissect the argument, we also recognize that your child will encounter many unfamiliar words as they progress through all levels of our curriculum, particularly in our many critical reading challenges. Our goal is to expand your child’s vocabulary and be curious about the precise use of a word in a text beginning in Level 1. This new feature will help your child boost their understanding right away.
